Lower Beverley Lake Park Management Board By-Law #2007-28, Schedule A

We would like to welcome you as a guest to our beautiful park, and solicit your understanding that all guests must observe our park rules and regulations at all times.
  1. This park is a family camping facility and as such, we reserve the right to refuse entry or use of park property and facilities
  2. Maximum speed limit of 20 KM per hour is strictly enforced throughout the park
  3. Parking on any roadway in the park is forbidden. Roads are to be kept clear for emergency and police vehicles. The highway traffic act regulations apply to all roads within the park. Supplementary parking is available in designated areas only.
  4. Only one vehicle per campsite and two vehicles per cottage will be permitted. All additional vehicles must pay the appropriate fee, display the receipt of payment on the windshield and be parked in designated parking areas only.
  5. Quiet hours are between 11:00 pm and 8:00 am and are strictly enforced
  6. All day visitors must vacate the park by 11:00 pm
  7. Curfew for youth and children is 11:00 pm at which time they must be on their respective campsites.
  8. All beaches are closed at 9:00 pm and all other common areas are closed at 11:00 pm.
  9. The beaches are open from 9:00 am until 9:00 pm daily. Campers use the beach at their own risk as it is unsupervised. Bathers must wear appropriate clothing at all times.
  10. A group of people congregating in other areas of the park other than on a registered campsite during quiet hours (11:00 pm to 8:00 am) is strictly prohibited
  11. It is the responsibility of patrons to ensure that their overnight guests are registered with the office.
  12. The conduct of children and guests on a campsite or in a cottage are the responsibility of the registered camper.
  13. Children under the age of 12 shall not be left alone or unsupervised in the campsite at any time.
  14. Camping permits must be displayed on your campsite at all times. Moving from site to site is not permitted without the prior approval of Park Management.
  15. All campsites consist of one fire pit and one picnic table.
  16. A total of two units may be placed on each site which may include any combination of a trailer, a tent or a dining tent. Maximum number of persons per site is 6 (six). In special circumstances, permission may be granted by Management to place an additional tent on a site for short term usage.
  17. All motor vehicles must display the camping vehicle permit at all times. The permit must be shown at the gatehouse upon subsequent entry to the park. All vehicles must stop at the gatehouse on entry to the park.
  18. Alcoholic beverages are permitted on registered campsites only. The drinking or possession of an open container of alcoholic beverage in any other area of the park is strictly prohibited.
  19. Campfires are to be lit in fire pits only and must be attended to by an adult at all times. All fires will be extinguished prior to retiring or leaving the site. Roaring fires are not permitted. The burning of end cuts, pressure treated wood, pallets, railway ties or other construction material is not permitted.
  20. Pets must be kept under control and on a leash at all times. Pets are not to be left unattended at the campsite. Pets are not allowed in the beach and playground areas, and must be kept quiet at all times. Pets must be immunized and cleaned up after as a strict “stoop and scoop” policy is in effect throughout our park.
  21. Possession and/or use of firearms and/or fireworks is strictly prohibited.
  22. The riding of bicycles or motorized vehicles on the nature trails is prohibited as is the removal of materials, flowers and other articles from their natural habitat.
  23. Bicycle riding after dusk is not permitted unless the bicycle is equipped with both front and rear lamps.
  24. Small watercraft and/or a watercraft trailer may be stored on your camping site provided it does not interfere with the enjoyment or safety of campers, visitors or staff. Docking facilities are for boats registered with a permit (charge applies).
  25. Recycling is encouraged. Blue plastic bags are available free of charge at the gatehouse. Plastic and tin are all to be placed in one bag while paper and cardboard articles are to be either bundled or placed in another bag. Bags may be deposited at the Maintenance Area depot
  26. Refuse is to be put out in clear bags only. Clear bags are available free of charge at the gatehouse and should be the only bags used for refuse in this park.
  27. The cutting of trees or defacing of property is strictly prohibited. This includes nailing or affixing articles to trees, park facilities or hydro poles.
  28. No commercial business or vendor may conduct any transactions on park property without the expressed written permission of management.
  29. Excessive drinking, vulgarity or creating a disturbance will not be permitted. Anyone making loud noise or causing an annoyance may be evicted from the park without a refund. In severe cases, management will issue a “Notice of Trespass” against offenders.
  30. The watering of lawns and roads, washing of vehicles, trailers and boats using park water during the peak season is prohibited.
  31. The running or use of a generator is not permitted within the park.
  32. Skateboarding is only permitted in the ramp area.
  33. Satellite dishes are permitted provided that they are installed within the boundaries of your site.
  34. Campsites must be kept clean and free of debris at all times
  35. Clotheslines shall not exceed six (6) feet in total length and high enough as to not pose a safety hazard. Limit only one six foot clothesline per site. Dryers are available in the Laundromats.
  36. Patrons must be at least 19 years of age in order to rent a site/ cottage.
  37. Patrons are reminded of the 9 km/hour speed limit for the Mill Creek as identified in the Boating Restriction Regulations of the Canada Shipping Act.
  38. As mandated by Provincial legislation, smoking is prohibited in all facilities.
  39. Unless pre-authorized, the use of any off road vehicle or any other unlicensed vehicle, including but not restricted to dirt bikes, all terrain vehicles, mini bikes, scooters, and golf carts, within the boundaries of the park is prohibited unless the use of said vehicle is for improving the access of a physically impaired or disabled person.
  40. The operation of enhanced vehicular or stationary stereo systems, as described in Township of Rideau Lakes By-Law #2002-27, being a by-law to prohibit and regulate noise, is prohibited.

Definitions

Trailer Safety Requirements
  1. All Seasonal Trailers must have CSA and RVIA standard approval and certification and the owner must provide proof of same to Park Management. Following CSA approval, any changes to the trailer or motor-home will require an update or re-certification of CSA approval.
  2. New trailers must be in an undamaged condition and shall be of a hard walled type. All new campers must have their units positioned in a location where the tow-tongue/hitch faces the nearest roadway. Existing campers may maintain the status quo.
Long Term Storage Insurance
The owner of a stored unit &/or accessories must complete the required application form and provide Park Staff with proof of valid liability insurance coverage in the amount of one million dollars ($1,000,000.00).

General Policies

While it is not our intent to burden our seasonal campers with additional rules, we are obligated to provide you, as guests, with a current set of rules and regulations. We solicit your understanding and cooperation in respecting these regulations.
  1. Seasonal campers shall maintain their site in accordance with Policy Statement #17: Care and Maintenance of Seasonal Sites.
  2. All proposed outdoor work and / or projects must be pre-approved by the Maintenance Lead Hand prior to any construction taking place. This includes the adding of soil, cutting or planting of trees or the spreading of gravel.
  3. Seasonal site registrations are not transferable in nature. As our seasonal sites are registered to individuals, the sale of trailers to other than registered seasonal campers includes the requirement to remove the second or subsequent trailer/s from the park. Park staff should be apprised of these transactions or situations beforehand.
  4. The current trend to bury electrical cables from the power supply to the trailer is not approved. All electrical connections are to be made above ground with approved 15/30 amp cables and connectors.
  5. Decks are to be eight (8) feet wide to a maximum length of the trailer. The Management Board reserves the right to make exemptions to this rule. Written requests will be considered on an individual basis.
  6. Decks shall not exceed one (1) foot from ground level without a railing
  7. Decks shall not be enclosed with anything other than canvas screening. Unless designated as a “premium site”, no permanent enclosures shall extend from the deck to the awning.
  8. Decks must be portable in nature.
  9. No permanent overhang may be constructed or attached to the trailers or other features of the site, other than awnings
  10. On site storage is permitted in either a 6’ x 6’ beige shed or a Rubbermaid storage box with a maximum size of 25” x 26” x 55”. Storage shed is to located on the back side of the trailer.
  11. Wood piles must not interfere with drainage or access across a campsite and they should be piled in a fashion that is appealing to the eye. (Maximum size of 2’wide x 4’long x 2’ high)
  12. Flags, lawn and garden ornaments are allowed in reasonable numbers, and must be used to enhance the property. Management reserves the right to restrict the number of ornaments on a site.
  13. Seasonal campers are responsible for cutting their own grass. Park staff may be able to assist but a charge will be applicable.
  14. All areas of the campsite must be clear of debris at all times.
  15. Excluding umbrella clotheslines, clotheslines shall not exceed six (6) feet in total length at its maximum stretch. Limit of one clothesline per site.
  16. The discharging of grey water onto the ground is strictly prohibited. Grey water is defined as water, with any additions that is disposed of on a regular basis and that originates from showers, laundry and kitchen/washroom sinks. Campers must ensure that all septic hoses are attached and secure.
  17. Campers shall not sub-lease their sites. The use of a site by individuals other than immediate family must be approved in advance by the Park Management to ensure that Staff is familiar with who is on site in the event of an emergency.
  18. One complimentary non-transferable vehicle pass will be issued to each seasonal site holder. Additional passes may be purchased for vehicles to park in the designated guest parking area.
  19. Air conditioners are to be shut down when not in use for extended periods of time.
